The International Conference on Sustainable Goals in Materials, Energy, and Environment (ICSMEE) is a premier forum for scholars, researchers, practitioners, and industry experts to discuss and share innovative ideas, cutting-edge research, and practical solutions for sustainable energy and material waste management. ICSMEE’25 aims to bring together a diverse community of professionals worldwide to explore the latest advancements in sustainable practices critical to addressing global environmental challenges. This conference serves as a platform for interdisciplinary collaboration, fostering the exchange of knowledge and expertise in renewable energy, waste reduction, recycling technologies, and sustainable materials.

Our Department of Civil Engineering, Mangalam College of Engineering has been hosting international conferences annually to enhance knowledge exchange and foster global collaboration between faculty, students, and industry experts. From 2021 to 2023, the department successfully organized the International Conference on Advancements and Recent Trends in Civil Engineering (ICART), attracting over 500 participants each year. ICART provided a platform for academic and industry professionals to present their work, focusing on the essential role of civil engineers in shaping the world's infrastructure. In 2024, the conference evolved into the International Conference on Sustainability in Materials, Energy, and Environment (ICSMEE), highlighting sustainability goals in these fields. ICSMEE 2024 saw participation from over 1,000 delegates worldwide, with high-quality papers presented and published in SCOPUS Indexed Conference Proceedings. This series of conferences continues to underscore the department's commitment to advancing civil engineering's role in global development. ICSMEE 2024 received financial support of Rs.85,000 from DST-SERB, Government of India.

Proceeding Publication

All the submitted articles will be evaluated under double-blind review by the relevant experts for originality, technical sounds, fluency, and many other factors.
Good quality selected and registered papers only will be published in SCOPUS-indexed conference proceedings*
Any form of plagiarism will not be entertained. A paper written using AI is also not a research article. In such cases, the articles will be rejected in the initial screening
Alteast one author should register for the conference and present their paper to the expert committee.

ICSMEE'24 Gallery

The Fourth Edition of the International Conference on Sustainable Goals in Materials, Energy, and Environment (ICSMEE’24) was held at the Department of Civil Engineering, Mangalam College of Engineering, Kottayam, Kerala on 02 & 03 May 2024. Our ICSMEE’24 was sanctioned with Rs.85,000/- as financial support for organizing the conference from DST-SERB (Department of Science and Technology, Science and Engineering Research Board). Also, the Indian Concrete Institute, Cochin Division, Bore Tech Services, and EL CASTILO Constructions gave their financial support for the smooth conduction of ICSMEE’24.

The ICSMEE’24 was inaugurated by the chief guest Smt. V. Vigneswari I.A.S., District Collector of Kottayam. Dr. Siau Chen Chian Darren, Professor, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, National University of Singapore, and Dr. S. Maheswaran from CSIR-SERC, Chennai were honored as a guest of honor of our ICSMEE’24. Further, Dr. J. Jayamohan, Principal of LBS Institute of Technology for Women, Trivandrum, and Dr. K. Balan, Retired Professor from CET, Trivandrum have shared their research expertise through the keynote sessions. The best 113 articles have been published in the E3S web of conferences within 25 days of the conference and indexed in Google Scholar, SCOPUS, Web of Science, etc.,
